Samskrita bharati is a movement started by two young college graduates in the year 1981 with a single point agenda of reviving Samskrit as a socially accepted medium for communication through which the rich Bharatiya Samskriti can be protected and nourished.

The very first 10-days Spoken samskrit camp (Sambhashana Shibhira) happened in 1981 at Jayanagara Bengaluru. Since then more than a lakh such camps have been conducted in India and abroad.

Samskrita Balakendra is another well received program of Samskrita Bharati which aims to seed and nurture Indian culture at a very tender age through songs stories shlokas dance drama and games. Once in every three years we conduct a state level conference (Pranta sammelana) to review past activities regroup and plan for future activities. Our recently concluded Pranta sammelana named " Samskrita Sanjeevini" happened on 5th nd 6th January 2019 at Jnanakshi Vidyaniketana Bengaluru.
